This great southwest honey tastes better than most . Nice and thick , the real thing and not overprocessed . I love the great taste . I use it to ferment garlic since its raw honey . However, its the best to have for all around use in the kitchen .
Very good old time honey taste .

Crockett Raw Arizona Desert Wildflower Honey has been an absolute game-changer in my quest to craft an extraordinary batch of Skyrim Viking Mead. This golden elixir, straight from the heart of the Arizona desert, is a testament to the raw, natural beauty of the region, and it has taken my mead-making endeavors to a whole new level.

What truly sets this honey apart is its unique flavor profile. As someone who's always on the lookout for that authentic, ancient Nordic taste, the Crockett Raw Arizona Desert Wildflower Honey delivers with finesse. The desert wildflowers impart a distinct character to the honey, blending floral, earthy, and slightly fruity notes. It's as if you can taste the vast landscapes of Tamriel in every sip.

The honey's viscosity and texture are perfect for mead-making, allowing for easy mixing and fermentation. It dissolves effortlessly in water and combines harmoniously with the other ingredients. This honey's versatility is worth noting, as it pairs wonderfully with various yeast strains, creating a dynamic fermentation process and nuanced flavor development.

Speaking of flavor, the mead that results from using this honey is nothing short of extraordinary. The raw, untamed essence of the Arizona desert wildflowers imbues the mead with a robust, full-bodied taste. It strikes a balance between sweetness and depth, delivering an enchanting, slightly floral bouquet and a mead that's rich, layered, and truly immersive.

Can I put a little light on everyone's worries about 'strained', 'filtered' or 'unfiltered raw honey? As beekeepers ourselves there is a distinct difference between 'strained' and 'filtered'. 'Strained' is a common process to take the raw honey through a strainer and remove impurities, like wax particles, etc. 'Filtered' is a heating process that thins out the honey to pasteurize the solution. Huge difference. 'Raw' and 'Unfiltered' are the proper applications to Crockett's honey as it is all natural, nothing is added, and it is not 'heated'. I couldn't help but notice so many reviews with folks freaking out over the term 'strained'. We are beekeepers in St. David, AZ and know all about the process for 'straining' honey. Additionally, Tempe, AZ is much warmer than our location in southeastern AZ, so their honey comes right out of the comb at a warm temperature. Straining is inevitably very easy with the warmer desert temperatures, making the process very simple and fast. But rest assured, this honey is not heated, pasteurized or filtered. Additionally there are no additives. Nothing but pure sweet desert honey. FYI, I have not been paid to report the truth about this company, and simply wanted to put everyone's mind at ease about the purity of the honey. Sleep easy, as you are definitely getting what you paid for, raw unfiltered honey.

This is an excellent honey for the price. I have something of a honey addiction, so I've tried countless brands. This is a delicious honey that holds it's own beside higher-end brands, and even beside some I've tasted at farmers' markets. It's tasty and has a good depth of character, with a molasses/smoke undertone that I find particularly appealing in honey. I'm not giving this five stars because it's not the absolute best honey I've ever tasted in my life. However, don't let that deter you. It's plenty good. It's raw and unrefined, which, imho, is the only way to go with honey if you want a honey that has some complexity and isn't just a flat gob of mouth-puckering sugariness. It's not organic. Still, it's much better than most organic brands I've tried. Anyway, I recall reading a post from a beekeeper who wrote that organic honey doesn't exist because you can't control where bees fly. You obviously can't tell them, "hey, don't fly past this point." I haven't tried it in any baked goods yet, but I think it will stand up well. I use it to make granola bars and it imparts a fairly rich flavor.

The most amazing honey!! First of all, it's delicious just by itself. Sometimes when I'm craving some sweets – which I no longer buy – I just have a teaspoon or tablespoon of this luscious honey. And since I started every night eating two two organic apples with honey added to them after baking (Heating honey, by the way, destroys its nutritional value so I always add it AFTER baking), I've experienced an increased sense of wellbeing in every way. More energy. Greater peace of mind. Weight loss – a pound a month without even trying. And my first winter ever with a cold or flu or pneumonia – all of which I usually get each year because of my compromised immune system.

I also have stomach and colon ailments, and drink celestial seasons honey vanilla tea to soothe my digestive tract. And adding this honey to tea helps even more. And recently, I stopped buying vitamin water, and instead make a pitcher of water with this honey added, which as soon as I drink it gives me an energy boost and feeling of wellbeing.

Having researched the effects of raw honey (and also organic apples), and now finishing a bottle of this luscious honey every six weeks, I'm convinced that it's making a positive difference in my life. And it's taste is so delicious that I no longer crave sweets or processed sugar. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
