Where is your matcha grown?

Our organic matcha comes from Uji and Shizuoka Organic Matcha Cooperative farms in Japan. We are also one of the largest importers of Japanese matcha raw materials in the United States.

Why does this matcha smell fishy?

Premium matcha has a slight seaweed taste due to its high chorophyll content, which is a common way to distinguish matcha powder from green tea powder. The latter has only the taste of green tea and is much cheaper.
